The Centre for Part Time Studies is one of the directorates run by the University of Delta, Agbor. The Centre for Part Time Studies began in the year 2021. The Director of the programme is Dr (Mrs) Felicia.O. Mormah with other supporting staff, Anene-Boyle Ngozi (PAR) , Igborgbor Peace Nnoruka, {SAR) , Ogboi Esther (AR), Clinton- Idiakpona Florence (AR), Onyechie ,A .Edith (SEO 11), Ojoko Chuks Kelvin (PEO11), and Owen Apete (ACC0).

The Centre for Part Time Studies has five successful programmes such as, Pre-degree programme, Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB), Diploma programme, Extramural programme, Adult Education and Certificate in Law.

PRE-DEGREE: Every pre-degree student must purchase JAMB FORM for onward admission into 100 level of the University. They are taught English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, CRS, History, Economics, Literature in English, Government etc. The centre has graduated her first set who are currently in year one.

DIPLOMA: This is a two years program after which the student is awarded the National Diploma Certificate in her field of study.

JUPEB: The Joint Universities, Preliminary Examination,(JUPEB) provides an alternative platform for gaining admission into various universities within and outside Nigeria. JUPEB is an Advanced level programme that covers pre - degree and year one syllabus after which students are catapulted into 200 level of the department of her choice in the University of Delta, Agbor. The student would have met the cut off point stipulated by JUPEB. There are 19 available subjects structure into three categories; Arts and Humanities, Management and Social Sciences and Science subjects.

EXTRA MURAL: This programme is for wards/persons preparing for SSCE and JAMB examinations. Their lectures are drawn from both the university demonstration secondary school and the main stream of the University.

ADULT EDUCATION: This has a testimony of helping the participants to learn how to read and write in less than three months. Course duration is six months to one year. The first students can now read and write, send text messages in handsets and can fill bank tellers in the bank.
